Stardust
As far as I know, my existence in this world is not of my own doing.
My name, as far as I know, t'was a decision without my consent;
a decision with which I must live.
I am but a Symphony of Energy,
Bathed in Light,
Clothed in Stardust.
My consciousness, much like yours,
has been shaped by an environment of which
I have no control,
of which I exist.
A place not of my choosing.
Like you, I am a part of that which I have been placed.
Like you,
We are but a Symphony of Energy,
Bathed in Light,
Clothed in Stardust.
Like you, I am courage.
A foreigner in a foreign land, but familiar for Earth is my...our home.
It takes Courage to call me strange as I am - you.
Like you, I am fear;
for I know that I am unknown
in a place unknown
to a people unknown to me.
To whom I too am not known.
Parity, parallel but potentially paralyzing still,
for I am an unfamiliar reflection of you,
as you are to me...unfamiliar.
Unknown but known for we fear when faced with the unfamiliarity of self.
Like you, I was brought here atop the back of hope.
It is the food upon which I feed,
it is the lullaby that my mother sang to me at night.
It is the blanket that my father pulled from the Heavens
and tucked me underneath.
It is a world built by dreams of Harmony
for the reality that houses my world is one of Hopelessness.
It is my...our mother’s lullaby,
You are but a Symphony of Energy,
Bathed in Light,
Clothed in Stardust.
